For you Ubuntu/Kubuntu users out there.

Be advised that the Adobe 64 bit flash plugin doesn't work yet. So you'd probably be better off sticking with a 32 bit version of Ubuntu or Kubuntu for now, as the 32 bit plugin works fine on 32 bit systems (but not 64 bit).

Update: The problem with the plugin seems to be that it will not recognize mouse clicks on the flash area. So you wan play youtube videos fine, but you can't click on the pop-up ads to get rid of them.
Since Adobe will be releasing Flash 10.1 with the Lucid Lynx release of Ubuntu at the end of April, either you can wait for this new version and update to it or else use a 32 bit version.

I'm sticking with 64 bit Ubuntu and I'll install an updated flash player when it becomes available.

Believe it or not, I just got my first Linux virus. I noticed that running update manager or Synaptic wasn't working. So I installed the free virus scanner and set it off to running. It's already found one virus. I'll wait till it finishes before posting details.

I was able to cure the problem by running SUDO APT-GET UPDATE from a terminal window which restored system update to its normal self. More on this when it becomes known.

UPDATE: There were a total of 10 viruses. They were all java script based files, some of which I got from DLing stuff from WWP. So make sure you have up to date anti virus software running just in case.
