LOL! Alright then, so far it's two Longcats and two Tacgnols, right? The first longcat is almost ready, picture soon. Tacgnols will have to wait till we get some black polar fleece. Right now we just have a good supply of white, but we'll shop moar soon Smile

We're thinking $8 a pop... cost of the fleece + a little bit for Wave's effort. She's making these by hand.

The final scarves will resemble these:

One layer fleece on body, but nice padded, huggable head... Photos soon!

I must bow out here, money is too tight on the run up to Christmas. It is still an awesome idea. Smile + 10 internets for Wavey's creativity!

Whew... sorry about the delay, dealing with IRL comes first. But the scarves are being made, it's just a slow process, that's all Smile

Definitely won't be ready for this raid... They're all made by hand, individually, and Wave is just completing the first one. Once she does that she'll know exactly how to do the next ones and they should be quicker to make. I'll take photos once the prototype is finished - most of the work is going into the head, which is padded and detailed, and photos of a longcat with no head are kinda pointless Wink

4 longcats should be ready for the upcoming raid. We'll buy more fleece this weekend to make more. That means black fleece for teh Tacgnols, too.

Re: longcat/tacgnol scarves

Post by Wave on Sun Dec 13, 2009 3:06 am

I'm making them in batches of 4. So the first 4 longcats are on the way, 1 is 99% complete, just needs a touch of black thread, the other 3 are at 85% done at least.
Then I'll proceed to making some tacgnols

I don't have a sewing machine, so I gotta manage all this by hand.

anyway, good thing last raid was warm enough.
