this don'T have much to do with this forum
personally:
I think a parent has to do everything to keep their kids healthy
I also think that everyone has the right to do his OWN choices, for HIMSELF
I also think that if said person is not in a position to do a valid choice (retarted, underaged, under the influence, coerced, pressured), the family can do the judgement, if themselves can do a pondered choice.
I also think that authorities can do the choice if neither the person n question, nor the familly can do it.

I know it'S their 'religious belief', but i don't think that the beliefs of someone prime on the right of someone else to be treated. If it was the parent that had the accident and was consious to say he didn't wanna live/have the transfusion, because his religion forbid it, too bad for him. But to decide for someone underage, to refuse him life for that reason, i'm OK with the authorities forcing it. (arguably the underage was not in a position to do that choice, if their parent refuse, he can feel pressured into choosing the same)

it's alsoo interesting to note that the transfusion the kid had, will be out of his system sooner or later.

NOTE: this is my personnal opinion to myself only

I have this impression that this is a thinly disguised way to make us look like religious bigots. I'M still a follower of the 'do whatever you damn well please with your own life for whatever valid/discuttable/wrong reasons you have, but god forbid you push your stupidity on others and kill someone for what YOU believe in'.

With all due respect, Anonymous continuously deals with Scientologists who go to great lengths to harass their critics by both litigious and criminal means, means that are more often than not sneaky. Scientology has issued "black PR" press releases and put out a booklet full of distortions and lies that label Anonymous as some kind of terrorist hate group of religious bigots.

This news story is not about Scientology. The only thing it has in common with Scientology is an ethical dilemma involving religious convictions. You'll have to excuse us, then, if a new member to the forum shows up and immediately (without posting anything else relevant to Anonymous) tries to get our reaction to a news story that deals with a perceived violation of religious freedom. If we were to pounce on the story and denounce the beliefs and practices of Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientology could use that as "proof" that Anonymous is intolerant of non-mainstream and controversial religious beliefs (even though no one speaks for Anonymous), and extend that purported intolerance to Scientology.

The attempt to paint Anonymous as religious bigots—a straw man argument at best—is among Scientology's last tactics in its desperate attempts to deflect increasing criticism as the downfall of the entire organization continues and hastens. We are aware of this and we will not be tricked into providing Scientology with fodder to discredit anyone but themselves.

If you are sincere about wanting to be part of Anonymous, I would suggest joining in our ongoing discussions about Scientology-related matters, and in doing so make an effort to establish some sort of credibility. People were a bit suspicious of me when I joined and I had to earn my stripes, which I did.

Look, I've been 2 times at the beggining of winter to your demonstrations on ste-catherine street, I didn't go after, cause I'm not really motivated and tired, I work full time and I suffer from a chronic but mild form of depression called dysthymia. Forgive my lack of enthusiasm..... But I don't work for scientology. I didn't post much on anti-scientology forums, cause I'm posting on ex-jehovah's witnesses forums. I don't think that I'll post a lot on your site in the future, I don't feel like talking. but I'll post news that may interest you on JW's, Scientology or others....If you don't like it , then just ban me...

I was trying to be considerate by explaining the guarded reaction of my fellow forum members so that you wouldn't get all butthurt. Did you even read what I wrote?

1) No worries, guises: yalbert99 has showed up at two of our protest - November and december. The guy is legit.

2) This news does concern us at some point. Consent to medical care does concern Anonymous, especially in case such as Lisa McPherson, Eli Perkins and the Lisa McPherson clause scientologists have to sign.

3) Others cultsbusters can provide us assistance, and we can give them hints on how we do operate, even thought this is not our main goal.

This being said, welcome here yalbert99, and sorry for the drama. Laughing
